Fluted Brass Alabaster Cylinder Wall Light

Small, simple and easy to repeat, this wall light stands a plain alabaster cylinder upright on a short fluted brass-finish base. The stone has deep grey and violet veining through a pale ground, and the fluting is the only decoration. Its narrow projection suits a corridor, a staircase, either side of a chimney breast or a run along a landing, where a wider light would get in the way. When lit, the cylinder glows warmly and casts light both up and down the wall. Each one is cut from natural stone, so the markings differ from piece to piece.
