A tall drum shade wrapped in a single sheet of natural ash veneer, so the woodgrain glows warmly when the light is on. A translucent acrylic diffuser closes the base to soften the light below.

It is 20cm across, with a plastic inner lining and fabric trim at the top and bottom, on a 1.2m twisted black fabric cord with a round black metal ceiling plate. Use a 60W bulb or LED equivalent. Natural grain and colour vary from piece to piece. Hardwired by a qualified electrician.

Switch the light off and let it cool before cleaning. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, sprays and cleaning products, which can mark metal finishes, wood, fabric, glass and stone.

Natural materials such as alabaster, marble, travertine, wood and rattan vary in colour and pattern, so no two pieces are exactly alike.

Ceiling, wall and outdoor lights that are wired into the mains should be installed by a qualified electrician, in line with UK wiring regulations.

If your light takes a bulb, always switch off the power before fitting or changing it, and never exceed the maximum wattage stated for your light. A warm white LED bulb (2700K to 3000K) gives a soft, warm glow. Lights with a built-in LED have no bulb to change, and cordless lamps simply recharge by USB.
