A round glass globe shade sits on a solid cylinder of dark carbonised cork. The cork gives the lamp a warm, tactile look whether it is on or off, while the globe spreads a soft glow. A small metal dimmer knob with a cross-knurled pattern sits in the base.
It is 24cm wide and 39cm high and weighs 2.0kg. The glass globe screws securely into the base, and the twisted black fabric cord completes the look. Use a dimmable 60W bulb or LED equivalent. Cork is natural, so the granule pattern and colour vary, and it lightens in sunlight. Some assembly is required.

Care
Switch the light off and let it cool before cleaning. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, sprays and cleaning products, which can mark metal finishes, wood, fabric, glass and stone.
Natural materials such as alabaster, marble, travertine, wood and rattan vary in colour and pattern, so no two pieces are exactly alike.
Fitting & bulbs
Ceiling, wall and outdoor lights that are wired into the mains should be installed by a qualified electrician, in line with UK wiring regulations.
If your light takes a bulb, always switch off the power before fitting or changing it, and never exceed the maximum wattage stated for your light. A warm white LED bulb (2700K to 3000K) gives a soft, warm glow. Lights with a built-in LED have no bulb to change, and cordless lamps simply recharge by USB.
