Ribbed Alabaster Drum Table Lamp

A broad drum of alabaster sits on a short polished black column in this table lamp. The shade is cut with fine horizontal ridges that run all the way round, so the surface holds light in soft lines rather than one flat face, and a small brass-finish disc caps it at the centre. Slim brass-finish bands divide the column into three, giving the lamp its weight and its Deco character. It has presence and needs room, so try a hall console, the end of a long sideboard, a side table beside a deep armchair or a wide desk.
