A low, curved stoneware shade with fine vertical ribbing, like corduroy, gives this lamp a tactile, architectural surface. Light spills softly from the open top and the gently dipped rim.

The lamp is 25.5cm wide, 12.5cm deep and 20.5cm tall, and weighs about 0.9kg. It comes in a sand-coloured dune glaze, or a custom glaze made to order. It takes an E12 LED bulb up to 50W equivalent (not included) and has a 3m fabric cord with a dimmer. Each piece is shaped and finished by hand, so no two are identical.

Switch the light off and let it cool before cleaning. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, sprays and cleaning products, which can mark metal finishes, wood, fabric, glass and stone.

Natural materials such as alabaster, marble, travertine, wood and rattan vary in colour and pattern, so no two pieces are exactly alike.

Ceiling, wall and outdoor lights that are wired into the mains should be installed by a qualified electrician, in line with UK wiring regulations.

If your light takes a bulb, always switch off the power before fitting or changing it, and never exceed the maximum wattage stated for your light. A warm white LED bulb (2700K to 3000K) gives a soft, warm glow. Lights with a built-in LED have no bulb to change, and cordless lamps simply recharge by USB.
