Two alabaster cylinders share one brass-finish stem in this symmetrical wall light, one rising above the mounting and one falling below it, each capped in brass at its outer end. A half-round backplate fixes it to the wall and a broad brass collar gathers both shades at the centre. Because it lights the wall in two directions at once, it is a very useful choice for a passage, such as a corridor, a stair, either side of a doorway or along a landing. Its slim projection keeps it clear of traffic, and both cylinders glow evenly when lit.

Care
Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, sprays and cleaning products, which can mark metal finishes, glass and stone.
Alabaster is a soft natural stone, so its veining, small inclusions and slight colour differences are part of its character and no two pieces are exactly alike.
Fitting & bulbs
Ceiling and wall lights that are wired into the mains should be installed by a qualified electrician, in line with UK wiring regulations.
Always switch off the power before fitting the light or changing a bulb, and never exceed the maximum bulb wattage stated for your light. A warm white LED bulb (2700K to 3000K) gives a soft, warm glow.
A light that transforms
Warm, softly diffused light changes the mood of a room the moment it is switched on, from a bright surface to read by to a calm evening glow.
Crafted with intention
Considered proportions, quality materials and careful finishing, chosen so each piece looks as good switched off as it does when lit.
Designed for your home
Sized for real rooms, from bedsides and consoles to hallways and dining tables, and easy to style alone or as a matching pair.

Questions about alabaster
Will my piece look exactly like the photos?
Not exactly, and that's part of its charm. Each piece is cut from natural alabaster, so the veining and tone vary from one to the next. The photos show the design and the kind of markings to expect, but your piece will have its own pattern. These differences are natural and aren't a fault.
How does alabaster look when it's switched on?
Alabaster is naturally translucent. Switched off, it looks like soft, pale stone. Switched on, the light passes through it, so the stone glows warmly from within and the veining comes forward.
How do I clean it?
Dust it with a soft, dry cloth. Don't use water, solvents or abrasive cleaners. Alabaster is a soft stone, so it's best kept dry and handled gently.
Can I use it outdoors or in a bathroom?
All our alabaster pieces are made for indoor use only. Before fitting one in a bathroom, please contact us, as lights near water need a suitable rating.
What bulb does it need?
It depends on the piece. You'll find the bulb details in the specifications on each product page. Some pieces have a built-in warm-white LED (3000K), so no bulb is needed. If you're unsure, email us and we'll tell you which bulb to buy.
Do wall and ceiling lights need an electrician?
Yes. We recommend having wall and ceiling lights fitted by a qualified electrician. Table lamps are ready to plug in and use.
